Cycle together

Cycle Together was created to help the Frome community cycle more and drive less - cutting carbon footprints, saving money, and boosting health along the way.

The goal was simple: to inspire people of all ages and abilities to cycle. The project offered Frome locals a range of free services, resources and training, building the skills, confidence, and knowledge to cycle safely on and off road. It also opened up opportunities to form cycling communities and explore the stunning local area, all while staying active and carbon free.

While Green and Healthy Frome funding has ended, this work lives on through the Frome Community Bike Project, which continues to offer low cost cycling support to the community.

“Cycling is not just an excellent form of exercise, it is also an opportunity to improve both physical and mental health and reduce the risk of life-threatening conditions like cancer, diabetes, heart disease and obesity. It is also a great form of active travel that can not only save you money but reduce your carbon footprint as well. The Cycle Together scheme is all about promoting the benefits of this low-impact activity and making it accessible to people of all ages and abilities.”
