What next

After five years of dedicated work, Green & Healthy Frome has helped make our town a greener, healthier and more connected place to live. On 31st March 2026, the funding that made this possible came to an end - but this isn't a goodbye.

The simple belief that the wellbeing of people and planet are inseparable has shaped conversations, habits, collaborations, projects and partnerships across this remarkable town. That belief doesn’t end with the funding. Green and Healthy Frome has firmly taken root, in our community and through many organisations. This page is your guide to everything that continues: resources to download, stories to inspire, and ways to stay connected.

What services continue:

Frome Town Council - Climate action remains a top priority at Frome Town Council, continuing to support free services for homes and businesses including Energy Advice, Retrofit and Solar & Beyond via the Healthy Homes team. As will the Plastic Free. Period. Campaign which promotes reusable and and plastic free period products in schools and the community.

Frome Community Bike Project continues on the great work that Cycle Together helped to propel, inspiring connection, fitness and fresh air. Continuing to offer hire bikes, group bike rides, classes, repairs and servicing - now running as a paid service to keep it all going strong.

Frome Medical Practice - Frome Medical Practice has always held a simple but powerful belief: supporting patients' health is their core purpose - and that means caring for the environment in which we all live and work too.

Sustainability sits at the heart of how the practice operates. It isn't a policy pinned to a noticeboard, but a living value woven into the everyday decisions - always looking for ways to improve the health and wellbeing of patients and staff, while reducing their carbon footprint along the way.

Edventure - Edventure's Future Shed may be over, but it leaves behind a flourishing network of remarkable community groups? Each carrying forward the connections, energy and ideas that were nurtured here. Scroll down to stay in touch with every one of them.

Edventure continues to offer all these groups both practical support and physical space at the Edventure Hub, including Fromebase, the new community DIY store. Edventure will continue to, and is already working with other rural community activators beyond Frome to co-create resources to navigate the highs and lows of rural community changemaking. As well as working with Chris Redmond to host the Young People's Climate Action Group over the summer.
