Plastic free. Period.

Many disposable period products contain hidden plastic- one pack of pads can contain as much much as five carrier bags. When flushed, they contribute to the 2 billion period products polluting UK waterways each year.

The Plastic Free. Period. team promoted reusable and low-impact alternatives such as period pants, washable pads, menstrual cups, and organic disposables. These options are not only very low plastic but also reduce exposure to harmful chemicals often found in plastic and scented products, particularly important given how absorbent this part of the body is.

Better for the planet, gentler on your body, and cheaper in the long run. The project - now continuing under Frome Town Council - works to make switching as easy as possible - offering discounts (see below, free youth period pant packs, information and events.

We are here to support you to switch to plastic-free and reusable period products.
