Work together

Our whole team is interested in sharing our learning beyond Frome and gaining insights from other organisations and communities. This could be in person or online learning exchanges, sharing resources, mentoring, seminars, conferences or workshops including our ‘Green Connector’ sessions.

We know that climate action is a challenge for all of us – mutual support and shared learning can make us stronger and more effective.

Toolkits & reciprocal learning

As well as sharing our Green and Healthy offer and community engagement work, we can explore reciprocal learning through partnership working, system change, storytelling and evaluation. Our toolkits are here to inspire action and we will be publishing more over 2025 when we will host a conference to share learning from our project.

Learn & Share

Green Connectors is a short workshop which explains the link between our health, our health services and the environment. We share resources, ideas and inspiration with communities and health providers, building our network of hundreds of Green Connectors.

We want to promote green and healthy lifestyles and encourage conversations about climate and health, which in turn make our health services stronger while reducing their impact on the environment.

Green Connectors has two distinct strands:

1. For Community members

A strand for community members who want to learn about green and healthy opportunities and communities locally – sign up here

2. For health professionals, any group or organisations

Who would like to discover how health services can promote healthy lifestyles and support system change to improve health and reduce carbon footprint. Contact Community Sustainability Lead Charlotte <somicb.frome.sustainability@nhs.net> to discuss how you can link up

Volunteer

We really value our volunteers at Green and Healthy Frome - we know that getting involved helps people to feel that they are making a difference and building connections.

Energy Advice Champion

You can train as an Energy Advice Champion with Healthy Homes and help local people to reduce energy bills, lower their carbon footprint and become healthier – as well as gaining a qualification if you are interested.

Future Shed Networks

You can join our people-powered Future Shed Networks where like-minded volunteers help out with activities, events and spreading the word. Get involved today!

Community Connector

You can train as a Community Connector and help our community to find out more about green and healthy ideas and opportunities in our town. A great way to make a difference!
