A huge congratulations to our Comms for Change team for successfully completing their course and delivering three inspiring projects that are sure to make an impact! They’ve gained invaluable skills while motivating others to take action for a greener, healthier Frome.
Run by Edventure Frome, this hands-on course is designed to equip participants with the tools to create meaningful communications for social change. With expert mentors guiding them, and Colin holding the space for creativity, the course was rooted in project-based learning. Tackling Green & Healthy Frome as a live challenge, the team split into three groups and delivered three powerful, live projects.
Spring into Action – created three engaging and brilliantly shot reels, encouraging volunteering for three of Future Shed’s community organisations: Everyone Needs Pockets, Frome Community Bike Project, and Frome Families for the Future. The team produced dynamic social media content, including interviews and even Lego animations. They also designed a portable event prop featuring the Lego scenes to spark conversations and inspire action.
Join the Dots – working in collaboration with designer Jenna Herman, the team worked at break-neck speed, researching, writing, and shaping a vibrant, informative leaflet that brings together all of Green & Healthy Frome’s projects and resources in one accessible place.
Earth Hour Game – The third team created a brilliant and interactive board game featuring beautifully designed sprites. The game creates awareness and sparks conversation around Green and Healthy Frome’s projects as well as encouraging people to take action..
To hear from the team themselves, replay today’s Frome FM’s ‘Edventure Show’, available from Tuesday lunchtime.
A massive thank you to the Comms for Change team for their energy, creativity, and dedication. Be sure to keep an eye out for their incredible projects, both online and around Frome!
