Taking your first steps as a community changemaker can be exciting and rewarding – but also daunting and confusing! Toolkits rarely share the real life details of how other people have got started, or offer support on the particular opportunities and challenges of trying to tackle climate issues in a rural community. When is it good to lead with ‘climate’ and when is it better not to? How can you engage your parish council or GP surgery? How do you respond to neighbours who just don’t want to know?
To help address these gaps, and using the learnings gathered from Future Shed, Edventure is co-creating support resources with a brilliant group of rural community activators working in Wincanton, Coleford, Timsbury, Farrington Gurney, Chippenham and Midsomer Norton.
Look out for our free resources – from podcasts and problem-solving tips to checklists, policies, and guidance – coming this March through our partnership network, events, and online. In the meantime, sign up for our newsletter to stay updated, or reach out to Esther to share resources and inspiration, or seek support.
